Friday Workout

All you morning meal people be proud: I ate breakfast today (oatmeal). It's a small success, but a success nonetheless. I'm trying to make an effort to eat shortly after I get up (drink like 2-3 glasses of water too). True I'm still forcing myself which feels counter-intuitive....but I know it's good so I'm going to make a valiant effort.  Hopefully it will get better.
I'm actually excited about cooler weather (if Texas will ever see any that is...although we've had a bit of a break lately so I shouldn't complain) because this means I can bake muffins or make pancakes and breakfast sandwiches without sweating. Yaaaay! I love fall baking.

I'm also feeling much better.  Finally - sheesh. I still have a little bit of a sore throat and gunk in my chest but overall am much improved. I worked out a little last night but today was the first day I was able to get after it again.  My muscles felt so weak and wimpy after just 4-5 days so I only went about 80-90% today so as to not overdue it too quickly.



Today's workout:

Cardio
  • 1 hour Zumba/Hip-Hop
Arms
  • Curl to Press (w/ 8-10lbs for all) - 15x
  • Front to Back Raises - 15x
  • Bent Over Row to Rear Fly - 15x
  • Tricep Kickbacks - 15x
  • 20 sec plank hold
Abs
  • V-sits - 20
  • Cross Crunch - 20
  • Spiderwoman Pushup (see Tone It Up girls for explanation...move arms and legs) - 10
  • V-sit Twist - 10
Repeat circuit 3x

  1. I wouldn't make it through my morning without my daily bowl of shredded wheat. (Plain. No frosting. Ewww says me to frosting...ewww says most of the remaining world to the thought of plain shredded wheat.) :) I wish I could also say that I, too, put in the same amount of physical exertion every morning. Alas, I mainly exert myself by glaring at teenagers. That must burn some calories, right?

  2. Plain shredded wheat...you amaze me. I have a serious sweet tooth and must.have.sugar. It's a bad habit I'm trying to reduce (notice I did not say eliminate.)
